After endless hours of preparation, the #11 and #12 build cars are track ready. Cole Scrogham, President of Synergy Racing, is proud to be the first to set foot in the cars to see what it is made of. It is his job to make sure the car is up to Synergy Competition standards and is ready for the customer to feel safe and sound in his or her new beauty. After a few twist and turns on Virginia International Raceway, Synergy’s home track, it is now time for Randal Schow, lead tech for Synergy Competition, to fine tune anything Cole found that would not be acceptable for the new customer. A lot of heart and time is put into each and every 997 Competition build car, up to 3 months to be exact. There are many long conversations between Kerrigan Smith, 997 Program Director, and a 997 Competition customer. Not only does the car become part of the Synergy family so do the customers. They come in for “lunch dates” with the car just to check up and see what progress has been made on their new baby. An extremely intimate relationship is built between the car, customer and Synergy staff. We like to keep the customer very involved in the process, sending them e-mail and phone updates not to mention pictures of the entire process. The #12 Synergy Competition car owner, Richard Morauer, will be the first to tell you how attached you can become on an object. With complete support from the Synergy staff he put his car on the track for the first time Friday May 16th, 2008. You could see the excitement in his eyes as he put on his drivers suit to get in his very own, with a blue #47 on the side, Synergy Competition Car. With Kerrigan and Randal in pit lane to aid any trouble that the 47 car may face, Richard could rest assure that the Synergy team would not let him down. After each lap, the beautiful Carrera sliver and lapis blue 47, the car took around the VIR track you could see the car and driver start to feel more comfortable with each other. Each time the car got faster and faster on the straight away in front of pit lane. If any of you have ever driven the 3.27 mile road course, you would know that it is not the easiest track to navigate, this is also why this
